About Chef Pierluigi "GiGi" Sacchetti
In the last 20 years or so, first being in New York City and now on Long Island, I have relentlessly been following one rule and one rule only...ingredients make the dish. The chef is solely there to allow them to shine. I can promise you that the produces we use at Chef Gigi's Place are either imported or artisanal made here.
In the last few years (I guess after my English got almost understandable), I had finally received some national TV attention from the Food Network television show, Guy's Grocery Games (I have been a 5 time contestant, so far) and to Food Paradise on the Cooking Channel to twice being featured on Restaurant Hunter with Rob Petrone (I love that man!!) and most importantly being rated 3 stars from Newsday Fine Dining section in 2017 (I was the only Italian Chef in Nassau County) and also being mentioned several other times within Newsday by their top writers, Peter Gianotti and Erica Marcus.
